Luna Care Services is currently advertising a rewarding opportunity for a Volunteer Activity Coordinator role in Hertfordshire. The main objective of this role is to visit our valued service users in their own homes and facilitate various activities aimed at preventing loneliness and isolation. Our ultimate goal is to promote socialization, engagement, and individual well-being by adopting a person-centered and holistic approach to our service delivery.

As the Volunteer Activity Coordinator, your responsibilities will involve developing a diverse range of activities, identifying suitable materials, and creating a flexible timetable for visits. Collaborating closely with our office team, service users, family members, and external professionals, you will play a crucial role in promoting engagement and well-being among our service users.

While the position is currently on a volunteer basis, we envision the potential for this role to evolve into an ongoing service if proven successful. This presents an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact within our team and the community we serve. Our office is conveniently located in Potters Bar, and our services extend to Hertsmere and Welwyn-Hatfield.

Desirable skills for the Volunteer Activity Coordinator position include creativity and a lateral thinking approach. An interest in care, excellent organizational and communication skills, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently without direct supervision are also important qualities. As an Activity Coordinator, you should demonstrate an understanding of and responsiveness to diverse individual needs. Previous experience in coordinating events or activities would be advantageous.

While having a driving license and access to a car is not essential, it is worth noting that travel to different households may be involved. While limited public transport options are available, walking may be feasible to some extent.

Key responsibilities of the Volunteer Activity Coordinator include building strong relationships with service users, spending quality time with them, and creating personalized activities that align with their interests and hobbies. Your role will be to provide stimulation and engagement tailored to each individual's unique needs through a wide range of activities.
